I am having this feeling like I have to go to the rest room but I get there and nothing. Getting great exercise though lol. I am 37 1/2 weeks feel fine no timable contractions last week I went in and was dialated to 2 20%eff. I went in today but the doc didnt have time to check me. But she did say it seems likes I have dropped because I measured at 35. Any ideas of what is going on???

feeling like you have the urge to have a bm can be a precursor to labor, if indeed you have dropped and the baby is down in the pelvis you will have alot of pressure. if you begin to have patterned contractions you should go to the hospital.

The feeling of needing to go to the bathroom is because your baby probably has his head down into position and it will cause severe pressure which makes you constantly feel like you gotta pee.Also since your doctor said you dropped that confirms the false peeing urge.Being dialated is normal as well and a fabulous start to make your labor quicker once you get in the hospital.You are getting ready to have your baby,that is wonderful

You're getting ready for delivery. The baby might be laying on your bladder and pinching the passage between bladder and the outside. Making it feel you have to pee, but cant because nothng can get through.
Try lifting your lower belly a little when you're trying to pee, to pick the baby up off that area a little. A lot of very pregnany women have to do that.
It might be too that youre fighting a little UTI.
Either way, iam sure youre okay. Although your doctor really should have checked you.
You're doing a great job, stay active and keep your eye on the prize :)

sounds like the baby is putting pressure on your bladder, even when you dont have to pee. thats typical. even if you are dialated to 2 or 3, that is no indication of when your labor is going to start. i was dialated to 3 for weeks.
