Poll: Iraqis back attacks on U.S. troops By BARRY SCHWEID, AP
Diplomatic Writer

WASHINGTON - About six in 10 Iraqis say they approve of attacks on
U.S.-led forces, and slightly more than that want their government
to ask U.S. troops to leave within a year, according to a poll in
that country.

The Iraqis also have negative views of Osama bin Laden,
according to the early September poll of 1,150.

The poll, done for University of Maryland's Program on International
Policy Attitudes, found:

_Almost four in five Iraqis say the U.S. military force in
Iraq provokes more violence than it prevents.

_About 61 percent approved of the attacks — up from 47 percent in
January. A solid majority of Shiite and Sunni Arabs approved of the
attacks, according to the poll. The increase came mostly among
Shiite Iraqis.

That's because over 70% of Iraquis want us out of there but a few idiots in the White House can't take the hint. So they probably figure it's easier to kill as many as they can, maybe they'll get it eventually.

Polls are very much like a self full filling prophecy - if I have an agenda or strong opinion that I want to convey to you, I could take a poll and know what the results would be even before I started because I would pick and choose the people or groups of people I poll accordingly.

When you consider the horrific climate of murder and torture in Iraq, the number of people who risked everything to vote in the initial Iraqi election spoke volumes compared to any "poll done for" or "according to a poll."

What the heck would you expect? `Regardless of what the parties say there is a civil war over there. What do you call it when citizens are killing citizens because of the region to which they were born. Our presence has made Iraq what it is today. Honestly, are Iraqs going to be any worse off if we leave than they were when we got there.

It means that the Iraquis are tired of the American involvement and wants the intruders to leave. But because of the money involved and the amount remaining to be made, then a withdrawal seems unlikely at the moment........

It tells me we are not winning the war on terror especially since the people we are supposed to be helping are wanting us to be harmed.

It came from the AP so of course it"s slanted to the left, but to answer your question it"s a stupid poll.
