officially you are not allowed to take any video or photographic equipment into a football ground for copyright reasons. in practise no one will ever question you about it if it is for personal use and you are very discrete. if you record something on a camera phone you won't get a second look. however, if there is the slightest hint this is for any form of reproduction or broadcast, like using on a fan web site, or if you are using professional looking equipment, you will be removed from the ground immediately, after having the footage or images confiscated. take note of how games footage is only shown through official sources.
backpacks and bags are allowed, again you won't be questioned, but will be searched for security reasons. but, my question is, why? what is it you need to take? take food and drink in a plastic bag, and put it in the bin when finished. leave anything else at home. watch the game. that is what you are there for.

A video camera is a big no-no...the chances are you will have it confiscated. This is because the Premiership guards its broadcast reproduction rights very carefully..they sell them for millions, and the companies who buy them get very stroppy about individuals trying to record their own video versions. However, a camera phone is no problem at all.
A backpack is fine, if it just got normal stuff in it. You will probably have it inspected for security, but thats all.
Dont try to take in any drink in any glass container..that will definately be removed from you.
If you are a Hammers fan, bring a sense of humour and an expectation that the worst will happen!
And , as if you need telling, no potentially dangerous weapons please. Its only Millwall who allow that type of thing....
