Taking Melatonin 1-2 hours before bedtime resets your body's biological clock to help you doze off and sleep without waking you throughout the night. I usually take 2 mg each night and it helps out and I don't feel tired the next morning. I also like the fact that it is more natural than other medicines. Melatonin can be found at health food stores.

If you look at most over the counter sllep aids the active ingredient is Diphenhydramine which is Benadryl, I would suggest buying plain (generic) Benadryl but see how you react to it, it does make most people sleepy but some people experience nervousness etc....

Go to the pharmacy and ask the pharmacist, there are some over the counter sleep aids. Ask and they will direct you to the one that is best for you.

Here's an old fashioned home remedy that helps promote sleep:

1 Tbs apple cider vinegar
1 Tbs honey
1 Mug of hot water

Drink just before bedtime.

Tylenol PM works great, but only take it if you plan on sleeping at least 8 hours. If not, you could sleep through your alarm (happened to me). Also, one alcoholic drink works well.

Benadryl, Unisom. diphenhydramine. Simply Sleep. They all work to make you drowsy, all non-habit forming.

Oh yeah. There is several. Sominex, nytol. They always make me
feel bad the nexr day though.

yes go to your nearest drug store and ask the pharmacist.he/she will tell you wants available there,and happy sleeping. i take prescription myself and they work like a dream no pun intended.my husband takes extra strength Pm's.GOOD LUCK AND GET SOME SLEEP!!!!!!!!

walmart's brand of Benadryl.

It has diphenhydramine hci, which is in all the otc sleeping drugs.
