They are only canvas and they wear out accordingly. They used to sell for under 20 dollars and that was a fair price for them. You spend 40+ bucks on them and they last a couple months now, it's stupid!
On the plus side, they are very comfortable since they almost immediately break in and are exactly the shape of your foot.

Yeah, they do. An exception for my first pair of Converse, though. I played basketball in them gazillion of times but they still lasted for two years (they end up with holes everywhere :D).

well.i dont think so since they are really thin.after a couple of days my soles started to have that gap with the fabric sides.

my chucks have made it 5 years and still look ... well ... lived in, but they've definitely held up.
