How do you know if your friend isn't using you?

I've got a friend and to make a long story short she always tries to be EXACTLY like me-from posing for pictures on her photosharing profile like me to trying to talk like me. Sometimes it annoys me and when I'm honest about it (like she wants me to be) she gets pretty mad at me & denys copying me. Then she tells me she's sorry and says how much I mean to her.
She always apologizes like that and I'm kinda sick of it b/c nothing changes like says she it will.

How do I know if she is really trying or if she is just trying to use me? Btw, she's 13 and I'm 14.

Common girl, she's just trying to be like you, she likes your style and admires you to the point she's want to be cool just like you; she learns from you, so why get mad...She's a follower and your a leader it has happened to me since Middle School and I'm 23 years old now...

Girl, she just admires you and probably just wants to be like you. I can see where that would get annoying but maybe try to explain to her that you are you and ..- she is herself. That is, after all, the beauty of life being different from everyone else. DNA etc. Take it as a compliment and don't be too hard on her but you have to tell her that you don't like it very much anymore. You are both young so don't worry a whole lot about it. Good Luck

My son had the same problem once. She's not using you she just looks up to you and wishes she could be like you. Hopefully she will soon start to develop her own personality but right now she needs to follow someone elses lead and it happens to be you. She really can't help it. Keep talking to her about it and soon she's understand she cann't always copy you. Good luck!

There is an old saying: imitation is the greatest form of flattery. I once got angry with a friend that was copying me. She told me flat out....she admired the way I did things and she wanted to be like me.

Okay- lets help her find her own style by really making it a big deal bout her stuff. I think that its safer to use what works, and that is you have done it, so it works.

Duplication is the ultimate from of a compliment. Just help her be MORE her and less you.

I think she likes you. Maybe she looks up to you a little too much. This can be annoying though. Maybe you just shouldn't share too much info with her about something you think she might copy.
Some people will just naturally mimic people they are around without even thinking about it.

You can never really know you just need to watch your back because my friend was a back stabber and she used me to get close to my super cute boyfriend and made out with him and he brike up with me but trust me they didnt go out for long at all

Well just try acting like her this is called reverse physchology and that doesn't work just sit her down that ur tired of what she is doing.so that's all i got.

okay well that's easily understood. sometimes littler people try to copy you. but since the age difference isn't big that shouldn't be it. she probably admires you so don't take it too personally but if it really bugs you just tell her that she's always been saying that things are gonna change but don't. see wat she says

it sounds like she's not happy with herself so she trays to be like some one she likes or is Julius off u mite find she find it hard to make friend so she will cope someone with conference to make her at ease don't worry about it this will change with time
