Well, I doubt you will ever find (or could ever find) an "exact" percentage. For starters, early Islamist philosophers like Omar Khayyam drank--as to separate himself and his views from more "conservative" thinkers. One could also argue about if drinking is prohibited vs. being an interpretation. Look at predominately Muslim countries such as Egypt where the beer and wine industry was owned by the government. It was privatized in the 1990's. Even in Wahibist Saudi Arabia people make a type of "moonshine" in their homes. So, I think its fair to say that some Muslims drink--and many do not. But, at the same time many Christians and Jews refrain from drinking because of their interpretation of religious texts. I think its impossible to give a percentage of Muslims who drink and don't --as Muslims are as diverse as any other religious group. Also, depending on the country, cultural norms may weigh heavier than religious norms--although they can be intertwined and difficult to separate. Muslims are not tied to one geographical area.

Muslims are not allow to drink. However, there are Muslims who do drink. I would say it's a small percentage...
Good luck.
