I am not even certain there are ten hall of famers on the Yankees.

SURE FIRE
Joe Torre
Rivera
Randy Johnson
A-rod
Derek Jeter

Second Tier (Strong Possibility)
Gary Sheffield
Mike Mussina

Third Tier (Low Possibility)
Bobby Abreu < A GREAT PLAYER, BUT IN THIS ERA HE IS GOING TO BE OVER LOOKED>
Jason Giambi
Hideki Matsui
Bernie Williams

Fourth Tier (Numbers thing)
Johnny Damon < there are about 10 Center fielders who are better at the position that is not even considering he bats lead off>
Jorge Posada < there is no way that 5 catchers from this generation can go to the Hall of Fame>

Fifth Tier (Unproven)
Robinson Cano (to early in his career to even mention hall of fame).

A-Rod and Jeter are fist ballot. Sheffield and Giambi are borderline. I'd put Abreu and Posada as longshots. Matsui I don't know if he'll get the ten years in. Damon is certainly a very good player but not in my opinion a hall of famer. Cano is too early to tell but is certainly off to fine start.

Johnny Damon - iffy, he's never really had an overwhelming good season, but he's consistent.

Derek Jeter - most definately, he's a shoe in

B. Abreu - probably, considering the 30-30's he's put up

A-Rod - another shoe in

Giambi - doubtful, steroid issue will mar him and he hasn't lead the league in enough power stats to get in

Matsui - no way, he, like Damon is a good player, but not great

Cano - He's got a long way to go... he's got tremendous upside, so perhaps one day

Posada - If he gets in, it definately won't be on his first ballot.

Mussina - another shoe in

So we have 3 definates and 2 probablies.

Jeter and ARod of course. Moose likely, Posada perhaps. Riveras not starting but he's still in and Im gonna go on a limb and say it first, Cano will get good enough to be the next Jeter.

nope, only jeter and Rodriguez will be in the hall of fame, maybe posada, but not giambi, not Sheffield with all the roids speculations.
