It's so strange to hear these words this way,
a year since you left me to this very day.
Your sister spotting me in a crowded mall,
then telling me sadly you're not well at all.

She tells me at night you cry before sleep,
things once mine you look at and weep.
You walk around dazed as if under some spell,
wear my old jersey to remember my smell.

But you married money so life would be fun,
stop grieving of things over and done.
You know I will always have feelings for you,
so words she tells me do make me blue.

If we tried it once more it could not be the same,
sometimes things happen with no one to blame.
Once mirrors are broken they all fill with cracks
and the same reflection can never come back

In that sweet mood, when pleasant thoughts, bring sad thoughts to mind.

I think many of us have been there!!
We may have chosen, the wrong path, and then regretted it later on. For many reasons......money, greed, an easier road to hoe. there are hundreds of reasons for such.

Then comes the time when we must all look into our hearts and ask ourselves, "did we do the right thing, are we happy?"

Perhaps not, we all have regrets in life, we wish we could undue many things, but it turns out to be too late, and we are stuck with an lament of old......to late......to late !!

The mirrors ARE broken, and cannot be mended......we must move on, and let old dogs lie.

Ah, the bittersweet misery of silent, private regret over a relationship we all, at once time or another, chose to reject, or give up, either permanently or for the moment, so that we could pursue either a dream...or a new relationship which eventually turns out unrewarding. And comes that time later in our lives when we must confront the memories simply because we now know that things would have been much better had we stayed, or had he chosen to wait. And then we cry because we know that, try as we might, whoever it was we left will never come back...simply because he doesn't know we still pine for the past, for him, in the dark, in silence. and he won't ever know because we've too proud to let him know, to ask.

How lucky this girl has a sister who goes to malls and meets the guy after all those years. But how sad that the guy doesn't have the inclination to go back and try to repair the crack.

My interpretation of this poem is about an ex gf who's sister tells you that she is not over losing you and still struggling very much. Then this person, whomever it is that's writing it, says they will always care very much for this woman but that they, the woman, needs to forget about whatever happened to cause them to break up and essentially the break up itself because even if they tried it again, it could never be the same because of whatever had happened between them.

I'm sorry if it sounds confusing i wrote the best i could.

Those are just my thoughts

It appears the lady broke up a relationship and married someone else but is not happy. Her sister told her old boyfriend but he is wise and knows you can never go back. As the old saying goes,"too much water has passed under the bridge."

I like this very much. It's about a couple in love who broke up because she married security (money). But she misses her lover and wears his shirt against her skin. He holds no resentment towards her and realizes some broken things can never be fixed.

this poem is about regret.

This woman ended the relationship by marrying another. Basically she was a golddigger and now she reflecting on her miserable life. Maybe her husband divorced her because he realized she didn't love him. But now the guy she dumped it telling her sorry. Too little, too late.

This poem is about living life for the moment. In the poem death is referred to and the woman who died--her sister is trying to reassure the man--that the woman didn't die in vain. She died peacefully and she expects him to live his life for the moment, for the here and now. Not in the past. She wants him to live for the future. She wants him to live his life without regrets, sorrow, or unmissed opportunities.

its trying to tell you that you shouldnt take for granted what you have when you have it. you shouldnt throw it away because people think its not cool, or you want more.. you should never give in. you should cherish what you have when you have it. because its true, nothing will ever be the same again. nothing can ever go back to being "normal" or how it was
