The best source to look up college and university rankings is at U.S. News and World Report's annual issue called America's Best Colleges. There is a searchable version located at http://www.usnews.com/usnews/edu/college/rankings/rankindex_brief.php. It includes some other tips too.

See Colleges That Change Lives for some ideas. They list Lawrence U in Appleton and Beloit College in Beloit. Good web page and good book that goes with it.
