If you are talking about how not to become pregnant without being on the pill...it don't work. It is avoiding sexual intercourse un protected during the 2 weeks in the middle of the month. I did this for 2 yrs and now have a beautiful 7 month little girl. The best birth control out there is the pill and using condoms together.
As for having sex during your period, from experience you can do it but it is really messy!!!! You will need lots of towels and should use a condom. If your going to have sex while on your period the best place is in the shower.
Good luck and I guess have fun.

Don't try the calender method! Only use it if you are ready to have a baby. I would sugest using a different way. Go for the depo and in this day and age with all the STD's and AIDs use a condom unless you are married and you both have had 2 sets of blood tests 6 mos apart.
You have to realize that nothing is fool proof. i got pregnant while using the pill, so just be careful.

Any time you have sex you can get pregnant. Damnit. Dont have unprotected sex. You cannot know that you're ovulating the same day of each cycle unless you're testing every day of every cycle.
Iam six months pregnant with a baby we concieved while on my period. Any time you have sex you run the risk of getting pregnant, even with birth control. And ESPEICALLY when you're just avoiding you "fertile" days.
I REALLY hope I didnt pay for your public education.

it is not safe to have unprotected sex any time in your cycle because an egg can be released any time, even if your on your period.
there is a small chance of this happening, but it still isn't worth the risk!
there's nothing wrong with having sex when your on your period, in fact i find it a lot more enjoyable, but very messy!
just remember to use a condom as this doesn't only protect you from any un-wanted pregnancy but is one of the only form of contraception that can 99.9% protect you from
'SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED INFECTIONS'
by the way i'm on my boyfriends email address. so i am a girl and i'm 20

Always have safe sex-you can get pregnant by having sex during your period, although I would imagine this a little too messy anyway.
If you are having doubts maybe you should wait. Waiting until marraige can have major benefits-imagine how good it'll make your husband feel to know he gave you your first orgasm-or found a spot that no one else has used to please you. Just think about this very seriously before you do anymore and make sure you truly want this yourself, not because it seems like its time to have it.

no, always use protection. and get birth control. you cannot go by the day you get your period, because your egg does not necessarily release when you are on your period. It can release any time during the month. You may get your period every 28 days or so, but it doesn't mean the egg is released in perfect timing to that. Also, you can get pregnant when you are on your period. other than that, it is always wise to use protection anyway because you don't want to get any diseases

It's unsafe to have sex 4 to 5 days before your period. It's ok to have sex during your period tho' it can be a bit messy.

You can actually get pregnant at any time. Nothing is 100%. Sounds like you need to back off on the sex. Wait until you're married and more mature. Just from your post, it sounds like you aren't 'old' enough emotionally.
