I am married to my wonderful husband for one year. The other day he was telling me that a friend of his recommended him to a website where he can take his GED at home. So he is telling me about the proposal and all of a sudden he says "oh I will ask my sister to take it online for me". I naturally get upset because he prefers his sister over me to take an online GED course. I have always supported him in all his decisions. Should I support him in this one?

All though you may feel it was a little shady of him to not ask you, you should support him. That is a big step for those who didn't graduate. But support him in taking it himself.

This is an interesting question. If you are merely asking if you should or should not be upset because he would select his sister over you to do this, then I would say to let it go.

If you are asking if you should support him in cheating regardless of if it is you or his sister, I would say go with whatever works with your own ethics.

Perhaps he considered his sister first because he wondered if you would actually do it for him?

Without knowing your educational background vs his sister's, I delicately pose the question of who is best suited to take the test. Granted, a GED test is very basic and you don't need to be a rocket scientist to pass, but the higher the score, the better when it comes to tests.

If you have no moral issues with him cheating on the test, I would say to not take it personally. Is allowing to have your feelings hurt really worth it? What will you gain if you call attention to it? Probably an argument.

So you're saying your husband is not only a high school drop out, but a cheater as well? Shouldn't HE be the one taking the test? I think I'd be more upset that my husband is too stupid to take a lousy GED test for himself AND is willing to cheat. What a winner, huh?

Yes, you should. Unless you have a grudge over the sister, then yes. Why not, maybe he does think his sister is smarter then you.
He is just doing it , so he knows for sure that he will get it, and be able to support you. Dont take it so personal. He is not your number one pick when it comes ot everything. Support him.

You need a moral check up. I don't think your husband is so wonderful if he is going to cheat and have ANYONE take an online test for him.

Well I think you all are wrong. If he wants his GED, why doesnt he do it himself? Whats the point in cheating? That just isnt right. Where is his sense of accomplishment if he doesnt do it himself.

Are you serious???Whatever happen to integrity????? You should be asking him why are you having your sister take your test? Can't you do it? Aren't you capable of taking a H.S test? Since you married him you need to look into why he is relying on woman to do his work for him. Good luck on your marriage

Hopefully you "wonderful" husband was making a joke...cheating is cheating. If he cheats on this what else will he cheat at - anything that will make him look good, feel smarter, WHAT? Definitely DO NOT support him on this one. Tell him you're sure he wouldn't have to resort to dishonesty, you know he's smart enough to do it himself! (Men love to be lied to!!!! This, of course, is not cheating...LOL))

Is he retarded?
Why doesn't he take the test himself?
Are you "special" too?
Why would anyone take the test for the meathead?
I hear Wal-Mart is always looking for under-achievers

No, you shouldn't support him in being dishonest. Whether or not he has his sister or you take the test for him, either way is dishonest. Why can't he take it himself???
