I don't know what you're up to, but for what it's worth, porcelain is a 6 on the hardness scale while glass is 5.5 - simply stated, porcelain is harder than glass.

It's used in spark plugs because of its excellent ability as an electrical insulator as well as it's toughness.

just throw the whole spark plug!! It wll break any auto window,,,No crushing sound either!
