The ocean is a powerful yet beautiful place. I am always amazed by it's vastness. I love going to the ocean, but I can't swim so I don't go in it (yes, I have been in it) but I like to walk along the beach and let the warm salty water wash over my feet. Wear flip flops or water shoes if you are afraid of stepping on a jellyfish that has washed up on the shore. Watch for dolphins which are always a treat to see! Go, enjoy...you'll be amazed too!

Well Jellyfish aren't that common to be stung by. It does happen, but ive been in the ocean a bunch of times and i stayed in it for hours at a time and never had a probleml. If you are worried about sharks, they usually stay about a mile off shore. So if you just go about waist deep into the water you are like 98% safe from almost everything. Watch where you step on the beach those. It sucks to step on a hermit crab...they hurt!

I live about fifteen minutes away from Daytona. It's basically a tourist attraction and I don't know why. It really isn't THAT great and I prefer to go to the other beaches. But there is a lot to do in Daytona right on the beachside. There's lots of resturaunts, mini golfing, gokarting, a small carnival-type thing, shops, etc. If you don't want to go to the ocean, go to Ocean Walk. They've got a movie theater in there, they host concerts, etc.

no...that's not stupid. u have a little fear of the water. i'm sure that they will slowly introduce you to the water...and maybe even teach u how to swim. think of it as a positive...and a new opportunity. u don't have to go in the ocean if you don't want to. u can stay on the beach and work on your tan, read...sleep...or build stuff with the sand.

You don't have to play in the ocean to have a good time in Fla. There are lots of other things to do. Ask your parents to take you to Busch Gardens or something.
