People are always tearing or splitting the backs of their pants, but I haven't seen any jeans which were manufactured to appear destroyed with a big tear down the rear seam even though the destroyed look is fashionable.

I've torn the back of my pants doing strenous labor back home when I was younger several times or after eating very spicy food, but jeans in stores lack this tear. If they want to appear naturally destroyed, this rear tear is necessary.

Those jeans I had which tore down the back also had the worn thighs, knees, etc. just like the ones they sell in stores. The destroyed ones sold in the stores are just missing the split down the rear now. Why haven't jean designers noticed this?

You have a point, as ever! However there are the obvious links that tears on the rear have, with homosexuality, wanton behaviour and incontinence. I am not here to suggest how accurate some of those assumptions are, but they are there nevertheless. These are individual 'tastes' and not deemed as suitable for the mass market, Therefore the manufacturers may have cottoned on to this potential flaw, but as individual as those 'tastes' might be the makers of the jeans believe it is best to let the individual make those alterations as they deem necessary. Hope this helps and it doesn't make you feel insecure about having made your own natural alterations!

FANTASTIC question i have no idea i personally don't but jeans with tears in them, my jeans get messed up at the bottom anyway because i like long jeans so they kinda drag but i don't even like the idea of buying something that's already messed up. If i want designer looking jeans I'll get my on sale jeans and tear them.
Hey maybe you can sport the jean tear on the rear, or maybe not. Ask someone else to do it and see the response of others I'm sure theres a reason why they don't do it. Ask the neighbor girl perhaps or the roommate, have u found one yet? :)

Because a split rear seam is not what is currently in style, and a person could be arrested for revealing that particular part of the body. Also, the rear end where the seam is is a very private area, and no one would want for that to ever be seen. Why even spend all that money in the first place?

Buy cheap jeans and do it yourself.

first off they really aren't supposted to look natural... i mean the ones on the knees do... but if they made jeans with holes on the butt no one would by them... unless they want their *** showing...
