People are always tearing or splitting the backs of their pants, but I haven't seen any jeans which were manufactured to appear destroyed with a big tear down the rear seam even though the destroyed look is fashionable.
I've torn the back of my pants doing strenous labor back home when I was younger several times or after eating very spicy food, but jeans in stores lack this tear. If they want to appear naturally destroyed, this rear tear is necessary.
Those jeans I had which tore down the back also had the worn thighs, knees, etc. just like the ones they sell in stores. The destroyed ones sold in the stores are just missing the split down the rear now. Why haven't jean designers noticed this?
