If your looking to buy a cold water fish black moors are nice. They are black and have big bulgy eyes. You could also get an oranda. They come in lots of different colours. They are small and chubby with a double tail. You could also invest in a topical tank. They can be expensive and are harder to maintain then cold water tanks but their is a large variety of fish to choose from.

There are Different Tank Fish out there like the red caped orander, red and gold orander, Black Moor and there are fan tail which Dont Mix Well With Gold Fish or othre types of Tank Fish

Betta (Siamese Fighting Fish) are by far some of the most beautiful fish and they are very easy to care for. A lot of stores that sell them carry many different colors with different fin shapes and sizes. The only downside is that they can't be housed together in a tank. They have to each have their own space or they kill each other.

bettas r realy good fish they live like 5 years long so if u want a fish that lives along time then get a betta.if u gety 2 do not but them in the same cage cuz mine were both males and they attaced eachother.

Depends what sort of tank u want? Cold or tropical?
For cold tank how about fantails or black moors?
Tropical tank how about Angel fish? The easiest to care for and they breed easily!

if it is a fresh water tank, Raspora's are a hardy fish that seem to adapt well and live long.
