Why are emos so pathetic?

Call me shallow, call me evil, call me whatever you want.

But I hate emos. All the ones I know are the exact picture of an emo.

Their lives aren't even that bad. "Oh, boo-hoo, my gwandma died!" Yeah? You think that's bad? I don't give two cents how close you were to your grandma, because I know people who have no house, no parents, only school. And they deal with it better than Emos deal with a bad hair day. Frigging Attention whores.

BTW, this is in music because in any other section it'd be spammed out and reported, and in this little section I can always say I'm talking about Emo music. And plus, there's bound to be some emos lurking the music section.

You guys think I'm mean?

If you labeled me, then I'd:
a) Beat the **** outta you
or...
b) Confront you about it

See, emos don't do anything about the "torture" they induce upon themselves, making them even more of a target. And I'm the missile.

I love the emos who make up excuses as to why their not gay.

And my best friend for the past 2 years just recently went emo, and now I don't hang around with him. It took only like 4 days of him being emo (we hung out a lot) to decide that it wasn't gonna be normal.

i agree. they are pathetic, and dont think of anyone elses problems who might (and probably do) have it worse than them. all the ones i knew and went to school with were usually spoiled, rich, and craved massive amounts of attention, and were usually depressed cuz their girlfriend broke up with them or they got grounded or some bs like that. BUT, they weren't dedicated enough or were too scared to become GOTHIC so they made some new lame alteration of gothic and called it emo. they should take some time and look at the rest of the world and the condition its in and maybe then they'll realize that they are pretty friggin lucky just to be in America, much less to just be upset over a girl or getting grounded. i agree.

emos are wannabe goths so all emos are valueless. wannabies is style of a wealthy infant wanting to be a hobo. i think of the skaters and goths would desire to limit mutually and look after this emo infestation. stereotypes are there, only considering you dont have faith in it doesnt advise it doesnt exist. lower back ignorent human beings goth is a existence type not a technique. look it up.

The thing that annoys the crap outa me is that there is just no imagination...its a look that takes no effort or thought. u just wonder into any little teenybopper shop, pick up the nearest thing with black, pink and stars, get a hair stylist...and taa daa...an emo is born!
emo...emotional, right?! id b way more impressed if they stepped out the box and put sum emotion into how they portrayed themselves and stood out from the sea of copycats...
hell, im all up for men vamping it up, i like a man in makeup and i think calling them fags is just stoopid (thats to other answer dude).and anyway wats so wrong with that?!
i just dont think they can think for themselves yet...
give them time to realise the world has far more to dish out. they're gonna have too much more to deal with and wont have time to bother making sure they coordinate with their friends anymore, cuz it just aint that important!

I don't know, i don't hate any certain type of people. I don't have a problem with emos so much, you're calling them attention whores, so its all oviously working considering you posted this. So YOU'RE contributing to this all since you're giving them the attention they're trying to receive? I believe so. If you hate them so much, then shut up about them and stop giving them the attention they're "craving".

It seems that no matter how shitty pop music gets, there's always something like that crap to come along and embrace that part of society who are too cool for metal, too young for industrial,too damn white to like rap, and too arrogant to realize that there are other sounds to be heard that could better channel the same hatred we all feel when we see money and fashion destroy music.

i think if your grandma died it would be a little bit upsetting
maybe they just have problems? like as in they take antidepressants? i mean if they are slitting thier wrists and all they might actually have problems they can't handle b/c they are weak?
