yes i ride all the time and have since i was around 4 or 5 some times i feel like i was born on a horse...rodeoed all thru high school and then married a bareback rider from one of my rodeos. and have been on a ranch most of my life, love working the ranch horses, and pleasure riding, and i also still barrel race with the nbha and american west.... horseback riding is the best time for relaxing, meditating and just wanting to get some peacefull time in, there is no greater companion then your horse and no better therapy for quiet time...we are now training a horse for endurance riding and get to see some beautiful country, we now live in the desert and get the chance tp see some scenery by horseback that most will never get to see, the only way in to some of these places is on horses, so yes i have ridden and always will.....

I have been riding horses since I was 5 years old so about 31 years now. My husband and I own 24 horses and run a therapudic riding center for kids with disabilities. We have 17 of the most gentle horses around for this and the other 7 are the ones we ride and our kids rodeo horses. I have rode for pleasure mostly but also train horses for barrels, poles and cutting horses. I can't count how many times I have been thrown, kicked, stepped on, bit but the one thing I can definitly say I learned the hard way was to make sure very sure you check the pad for any kind of stickers before saddeling a horse, I went on one heck of a wild ride when I forgot to do this last summer and my mare had a sandbur in her pad. As we have seen with the kids we work with horseback riding is a very relaxing and pleasurable activity

I have been riding ever since I was two years old- so that is 13 years. My mom's best friend has always had horses, so I learned from her. I have taken lessons from her ever since. She is almost at olympic riding level. She gets her lessons from an olympic rider. I started training two horses and have successfully trained both of them. I do have a lot of riding, training, horse care experience under my belt, but one can never know it all so I am always looking for more opportunites to learn. That is why I volunteer at a horse rescue. I get to train and ride many of the problem horses, and this helps them get adopted out. I absolutely love horses and riding, and I hope to have a horse of my own sometime in the very near future- I have been saving up money for a while. I hope your horses are doing well!

I grew up in the farmland. I moved to Texas when I was 18. My parents' best friends were dairy farmers. We'd ride horses, play in the barn by jumping from the hay loft onto piles of loose hay, and help with some of the chores sometimes. I miss that so much. I live in the city now. I really wish that my daughter would have had the chance to understand growing up near farms.
I'm going to go look through picture albums and sigh now. ;-)

I just recently got a horse, but I've been riding for the past nine years or so. I got an Arabian gelding, so I'm always on my toes around him. He threw me hard when I rode him bareback once, and bruised a joint that connects my pelvic bone to the bottom of my spine. That was pretty painful. Probably didn't help that I jumped right back on. That darned hip still hurts sometimes. Oh, and he very nearly broke my foot. I was standing beside him when my grandfather's mare freaked out. He freaked out too and stomped on my foot pretty hard before he ran off. I couldn' t feel it for a while after that. I think my doctor's getting tired of seeing me. ^_^'

I have been riding since I was 2yrs old. I grew up in OH & KY and have never gone without a horse. I now live in FL and have a Quarter Mare I run in barrels and reining. I love to take her in the arena and turn her away from the barrels after she has seen them, she almost does a full body shudder until I let her go. And in reining she loves to go full out to her slide stop butt on the ground. They adreniline rush is amazing to have that kind of speed and power under you!

All my experiences with horses have been disasterous. In Argentina, at a friends estate, I tried to ride one of his "more tame" caballos. The damned horse first bit me and then threw me off about a hundred meters down the trail.
My former brother-in law had the meanest horse God ever created. This one also managed to bite me, and dumped me into a cypress swamp!
I hate horses!!

I have been riding since I was too young to remember....at 13 my godmother told me I had to learn to ride her friends American Saddlebred..up to this point I had ridden western and speed events...the saddlebreds were so tall and high-strung that I was terrified ...after a few lessons I grew to love them...I also had to learn how to jump, ride english, drive a cart, and then I could make my choice as to what type of riding I liked best....I chose western and speed events but the experience was worth every min.I now own and breed American Paint Horses....my stud is a black and white Tovero, medicine hat...his reg. name is Sunny D Bars Keno....I wouldnt trade the experiences I've had with horses for anything!!!!! to see pics of my stud go to myspace...I'm painthorsemomma

Yeah, I have rode before,I also own 6 horses(4 diffrent breeds of them). I ride to relax, spend time with my horse, get stuff off my mind, and to relive stres. Also to get some of that fresh W.V. moutain air in my lungs. I ride the evening before a big test at school and I get a good grade on it becouse when I rode I got evrything off my mind.
