I've had trouble with acne for much of my life. I've spent tons of money on over the counter products, copays for office visits and dermatologist products. I've even had chemical peels done as well as used the horrible drug, Accutane, which I would NEVER recommend!!

I tried Pro-Active at least 3 different times. It would help originally and then it would do nothing! Overall, I wouldn't recommend it.

The best products I have found are available through Nutrimetics by Avalla. The products are naturally based. Nutrimetics offers highly effective and economical products that contain no cheap fillers, harsh chemicals or petro-chemicals (e.g., mineral oil, drying alcohols, or animal by-products).

The best thing is to use a whole line of skin care. I recommend their Heritage Line or their Clear Skin line. The products that truly made a huge difference are the Mineral Masque which contains natural clay and Nutri-Rich Oil. The Mineral Masque shrunk the size of my pores and would shrink a zit overnight. The Nutri-Rich OIl helped to get rid of the acne scars I had as well as moisturize my face. (Yes, even if you have oily skin you need to use a moisturizer.) Use a pea sized amount every night before bed. This product also works great on dry elbows, dry heels, cuts, burns, scars, as a skin softener in the bath, protects your hair from dryness from a blow dryer, helps cuticles....I could go on and on. This product will last about 10 months if you are only using a 1/2 pea to a pea sized amount once a day. It is worth its weight in gold!!

The website is: http://www.myavalla.com/us/pwp/jmarshalik. You can order online today by entering E896670009711252C on the left hand side of the screen under Passcode.

Feel free to e-mail me if you have any questions. I'd be happy to help!

Good luck to you!

I could tell you of a really good product for it, but I cant tell you over here for Yahoo Policy. Proactive works for the first 1 to 2 months after that everything comes back, and your skin is flaky and extremely dry. send me a message and I'll tell you all about it.

I used it years ago when I was in junior high, I had really bad acne. I never helped at all and I ended up sending it back for the refund. A lot of people swear by it but it never worked for me, everyone is different.

YES IT WORKS :) I had bad acne, I tried everything: from neutrogena, oxy, going to a specialist, having expensive treatments, etc... It was my last resort, my dad ordered it for me. I said to him it was going to be a waste of money, but I used the product and now my face is clear!! I have been using it for 6 years now :) Try it, great results!!!!!

In my opinion it does, with continued use. And it does contain a bleaching agent, so be careful what towels you use. As usual though, your acne and skin are also prone to diet, stress level, and monthly cycles!
