i am a painting contractor here is what you can do ...use the flat as a primer and paint over the gloss...mix the rest if you want and paint away..no harm done.

you can not use any paint over gloss, you need to prime the gloss paint with a primer especially made for that. Yes you can mix semi gloss with satin. But won't be either when you get done.

You can put one over the other but I wouldn't mix 2 together. Paint is really inexpensive. You can buy it at K-Mart or Home Dept.

The key on mixing these paints is NOT the finish, i..e. glossy or flat.

It is their base, i.e. oil or latex. If they ALL call for water cleanup or for turpentine clean up your OK to mix them.

You can't mix water based with oil based or you will have a mess that never dries!!!

sure you can mix them all up. and let it rip but I bet you end up with a pea colored shade of green. Hope not but it always happens to me don't know why. Cheap skate green I call it. Good luck.
