the test reads, in the circle it has a line going up and down and a line going straight across the line going up and down, but it reads light. Am i still pregnant? i have not had a period in September at all. the last period i had was August 20th, which is the same day i moved into my first apartment. Today is September 29th.

Read the directions. If a plus sign means you're pregnant - and you got a positive sign then you are. No doubt about it. that means the test picked up the HCG in your urine - and your body doesn't produce that unless you're pregnant.

Hi, this is how I would tackle this situation as I have been here.
Your body gives you signs of being pregnant, like missing your period. However, that could be a sign of stress-your moving and all. I've tried expensive and cheap tests and they both work the same. I try and buy the ones with 2 tests in the box and that way there's one more if I mess it up or really want to be accurate and sure. With the results that you have now- I would say yes. The best time to take a test is the first thing in the a.m. Good Luck.

Look at the box or the instruction for an illustrated picture example of what a positive and negative test looks like. If it reads a line at all in the Positive spot then that most likely means you are. Those test are based on hormones. I would either take another test or go to the doctor to double check. Most the time when a test says you are pregnant it is right. It is when it Say's you are not that it could be wrong.

Coincidentally, I also took a preg. test today. According to EPT, no matter how dark or light the symbol it means the same thing. Now, if it was a "plus" sign than that is a positive reading two straight lines is negative. Good Luck!!!

If there is a line in the pregnant window, that means the test is picking up some amount of HCG (the line wll be light if there isnt much hormone). That meands you are pregnant. Congrats!

It could. Although,they say the best time to take a Preg test is with the first "p" of the day. It could a defective test i suggest possibly taking another. It could also be stress of moving into a new place that has irregulated your period.

No matter how dark or light the result sign is, if its a plus sign then you are pregnant. My next step would be to make a OBGYN appointment. They will do another test at your appointment also, to confirm that you are pregnant. Congrats Mommy!!!!

My preg. test came out funny too one line was darker than the other but as long as its 2 lines that make a cross ur preg. u still have to go to the doctor to be 100 percent sure though.

You might be pregnant because even if the test is fainter then the other it still means that you are pregnant.
You should read the instructions on the box and it will explain to you... (Good Luck)!!!!

Are your periods regular? If so, all tests read different but I know from experience, it doesn't matter how light it is usually that is a yes. Good luck!
