I really don't like all this exploitation of silver reserves. If silver was a people there would be a real fuss! Let's stop exploiting silver, eh? But what can we use instead?

Did I miss something and has silver filed a complaint with the NAACP? Why don't you get behind something meaningful like stop killing the "Rain Forest". HELLO

It depends upon the use. Silver is a better conductor of electricity than copper, but copper is a good conductor, is cheaper than silver, and is satisfactory for some electrical applications. For some electrical applications, it is much better jto use silver.This is just one of the many examples. In some cases, silver might be cheaper and satisfactory for a certain application than a more costly material.

Why not try the occupants of a submarine? Yes, that's right, I'm talking about sea men. Sea men represent an abundant, renewable resource. In some places, you can't even walk across the floor without stepping on sea men. Sea men can be experienced by women or men, depending on your personal tastes. Plus, they're good swimmers.

Actually, we've cut back on using silver for some of its traditional purposes: silverware and photography, now replaced by stainless steel and digital cameras respectively.

Silver is still used in dental fillings. There are ceramics that are almost as good. It's used in jewelry, and who really needs that? It's used in anti-microbial filters that don't require power... oops, no good replacement there...
