so i was thinking there has to be some band of criminals that went around to slaughter ewoks for thier fur, what are your thoughts on this?

George Lucas said that in the original script, the "Ewoks" where going to be a band of Wookies. However, during the making of the film, he decided to "chop" the Wookies in half and make them Ewoks. Good luck trying to catch those little Ewoks. They're tough little mothers. They kicked the Empire's A**!!!

My knee-jerk reaction was that they are sentient beings with independent thought, and that nobody in good conscience would wear the fur of another "person". Then I remembered that Boba Fett wears pelts from Wookies he has killed, so I am sure you are right!
Do you think the Ewoks could understand Jawas? They sound exactly the same...

no, they are not commercial furs they smell like skunks
