I have a new guy friend who's 26 and I'm 18. He's really nice to me and takes me to all these cool places. He's really into his church and acts like he cares about people. However, I don't understand why a 26 yr. old guy would want to hang out with an 18 yr old girl, unless he just wants sex. He just broke up with his first serious gf and I'm skeptical into thinking maybe he might want to rebound with me. He also told me that when he was in college he would only date younger girls.My q is should i ask him his motives (we're going to a haunted house 2morrow) or should i just watch and see how he treats me and other people? It is possible for a 26 yr. old guy to like an 18 yr. old girl for something other then sex ? Btw, if you think i should ask him his motives, what and how should i say it?

I will tell you right now if you ask what his motives are chances are he will lie and say that he is not interested in you that way. The best thing to do is not spend too much time with him, this may be leading him on, and make sure that when you guys do go out that it is in a group enviornment this way he knows that you just want to be friends. I defintely think its a little odd for a guy his age to want to hang out with you just because. I may be wrong but I think he has other plans. Just go with your gut !

Some guys date younger girls because they think they manipulate them. Others maybe because they think they won't have to make a commitment until later (marriage, kids etc). But perhaps his intentions are honest and he really likes you. Best advice...be careful! When I was 18 I started dating a 26 yo and spent 6 years with him. What a waste of time that was!

There are 2 reasons why a man dates a teenage girl.
1- he's a pervert.
2- he's so immature and insecure, he can't handle a woman his own age
I don't think you should be hanging around this guy- he sounds kind of creepy to me. I think your gut feeling is telling you something-- listen to it. You KNOW this doesn't feel right or you wouldn't be asking.
