Is there someone with internet intelligence that can assist me in reaching the internet on my laptop?

For those of you trying to be smart it doesn't work, you do realize there is more than one way to reach the internet, Right?

For starters:
What ways are you trying to reach the internet and what happens when you try (what is it that you see that indicates failure)

What options do you have available to you in order to reach the internet (do you have a dialup/dsl/cable account?)

is your laptop connected to the internet by a wire or is it wireless?

If it's wired, all you have to do is double-click the Internet Explorer icon on your desktop. Then, go to www.mozilla.org and download Firefox, it's a much better internet/web browser that Internet Explorer.

Your first 2 answers are excellent, but also check to make sure your wireless switch is turned on if you are trying to connect wireless.
