Most universities don't consider this grade for this couse when deciding places. Some 6th forms make the study of this subject compulsory - is this fair? Thankfully my 6th form didn't and I didn't study it. What did you do? Should General Studies be consigned to the dustbin of history?

I wouldn't bother- what a load of rubbish!
At my school, only the intellectually challenged went for it because no decent universities recognise it.

I am currently studying A levels and although i didn't take general studies many of my friends did. It is indeed a pointless subject, teaching you nothing and not counted as a qualification by any universities. Not a personal recommendation of mine!

6th forms are funded according to how many students take Gen. Studies...until that rule is changed, it isn't going anywhere!
