"Friends with benefits" means that he doesn't want to date the girl, he just wants to hook up with her every so often. Depending on your point of view, he is either using her or they have a situation that works out for both of them.

When someone says "that's classic," they usually mean that whatever was said immediately before is a cliche, or a commonly used phrase, or something that clearly indicates someone's personality. Let's say you know someone, call him Billy, who is really cheap. You say, "Let's go out to dinner." Billy says, "Okay, but only if you pay." I say, "That's classic Billy." Or, someone might say, "That's classic" to refer to something that you said that was so impressive/funny/amazing that it will "become a classic," so to speak; something you will remember for years.

This phrase usually means you will be friends but also share the joys of sensuality and sex, without being emotionally involved. Other than a weekend or two, has this ever worked ?
It would be interesting to hear from folks who have tried this.
Is this like eating cardboard, because you're hungry; or is this both pretending, for expedience.

It means he wants the priviledges of a couple without the commitment. Don't let him. He won't respect you for it and he will share his stories with his buddies.
Classic? References to something that is 'timeless'.
