How did the development of fire contribute to the further development of culture?

We could start cooking food and eating more meats and stay in places that would have been too cold otherwise to live.

kind of obvious when you think of the time period fire was first "invented"...there was no way of staying warm or cooking freshly caught meat and what not. it curved the way for survival first off. and i guess you could say the rest is history...cause man had warmth and a new aspect of life and a full belly with good food :D
