I have gotten positive results on the ovulation predictor kits and every month I have the appropriate cervical mucous changes at the right time. Does this all mean that I am for sure ovulating or just that my body is telling itself to ovulate? I mean could all these signs be there and still no egg actually released? We have been "casually" ttc for a few years and no luck so I'm just wondering if I'm even ovulating.

Unless you have been diagnosed or treated for any ovary disfunction or disease, you can rest assured that you are ovulating. There are many other reasons why you may not be conceiving. As hard as it may be for him to hear, you may want to have your partner checked with a simple semen analysis. They are not that expensive and you usually can get it ordered through your own OB/GYN. You can also have a PK test done by your OB/GYN which is when you are examined with a few hours of intercourse when you are "surging" (when the egg is preparing to release. This also is a very simple test and the physician can check to see if your cervical mucus is doing it's job and even if there are viable sperm in it. Good Luck!!

Your Dr can actually send you for a blood test on the 21st day of your cycle to know for sure whether or not your body ovulated. If not...start a small dose of clomid...50mg...should be pregnant in no time...has hubby had his sperm tested?? You may not be the problem...could be him.

Maybe its because u might have kept to clean and I have the mucus thing and I dont have an almost evolved egg, trust me thats normal.
