I posted my resume online for the he** of it and I got offers form 3 different companies wanting to hire me. Then on the same week my boss wanted me to sign a "Confidentiality Agreement". Do you think she came across my resume online and worried that I wanted to leave? Is she going to fire me? What should I do?

I wouldn't worry to much about it. Confidentiality is for whatever your doing that you won't disclose anything. It has nothing to do with you posting a resume. Perhaps your just a tad paronoid because of just posting your resume. I am sure I would be thinking the same thing but honestly I don't think people think that much into it.

No she can't fire you for looking or in your case just posting a resume. Just chalk it up to your paronia!

There is no way we would know all this. I wouldn't worry about it. If she came across your resume' and didn't like that you were looking, she could probably fire you today. If that is the reason for the Confidentiality Agreement, I suspect she wants to make sure her business secrets stay secrets and doesn't want to fire you because then you could draw unemployment.
If you are looking anyway, why do you really care?

If you sign a confidentiality agreement after you've been working for that company, you are then entitled to a signing bonus. I wouldn't be worried unless you used the company's equipment when you posted your resume online (computer, work e-mail account, telephone). If you have a good relationship with your boss, you may want to talk to her.

You are putting 2 + 2 together and getting 94!

Perhaps everyone has to sign the new confidentiality agreement!

I would network around the office and find out more about the confidentiality form before I would draw any conclusions. Besides it is always good to know what is out there as far as postions and pay.

It's not a crime to have your resume posted online. They'd be petty if they fired you for that. Check out the other jobs if you're worried about it. We don't know your boss.

The Conf Agreement is so that you don't give out any info about the company, it's management, or its products.

Look into the HP (Hewlett packard) case.

Ask her why she asked you to sign the C.A. Then divine her intentions from that. Or, come right out and ask her if she knows.
