personally I have no ideas about its basis,however, if they are false, why had the police department hired some of the psychics to assist in their investigations? these were told thru some TV programmes like "Psychic Detectives" etc. I am getting confused.

I recently read that if a baby is born with cataracts and these are not removed by the time s/he is 3 months of age, the brain will not have made the eye/cerebrum (cerebellum?) connection, and that child will be blind the rest of her/his life.
- Perhaps your confusion is due to not having what you identify as psychic experiences. Sometimes we either do not connect to our psychic senses or we do not recognise them as psychic senses. Psychic senses are as real as the sense of touch or the sense of sight. Some have developed or were born with more developed psychic senses. Others were not, but still have the potential.
- Psychic abilities are real. However, some people are not honest or trustworthy. These individuals may make false statements for the purpose of financial gain. Unfortunately, that does exist in all walks and manners of life.

Because true psychics exist. Those are not the TV or "Phone a Psychic" people. These are people who truly have the gift, not the ones who want the gift of MONEY.

Many psychics are real. however most of the real ones, you will find "Lending" their abilities to police forces and not chargaing for them.
the folks that you see that do phone and internet readings are mostly frauds. that see an easy way to make a quick buck.
