Engine Guard.... I was told they are mostly for looks, they MAY lessen damage if the bike falls over in the parking lot. NOT if you have some speed and drop it.

Are you talking about the engine guards? Usually the 2 bars that stick out from the side of the bike in a crescent shape. They don't make the bikes any safer, they just keep your bike from getting scratched up or messed up if you drop it.

Only thing makes a motorcycle safer is the rider. All the "safety" gear in the world won't make a car OR bike any safer if the driver/rider is a nitwit!!!

Yes, they make the bike safer - but not the rider. They're just there to protect the engine, exhaust, and frame if the bike falls over.

They are called Engine Guards. That's what they do.
"May provide limited protection...", "Are not designed to....."
Dress items that may keep scratches off your engine if you put it down. They MIGHT help protect you, but not made for it, and the manufacturer will clearly let you know that they do not want responsibility for your legs.

no they do not make them any safer however they do prevent some damage to the engine if you drop the bike.They don't protect you ankles or feet because it is human instinct to throw your feet out to catch youself.

its a stunt cage used by professsionals so when the bike falls it doesnt sustain much damage NOT FOR SAFETY.
