what is it about myspace that makes poeple check it all the time. i know its quite addictive but i cant figure out how.

MySpace is a pain in the butt. I joined up because my sister was on. What a waste. My page is full of ads for free crap that's not really free and I keep getting unsolicited invites to sex chats. I am married with 3 kids, people! And all those cool new people I could meet...sorry they are a bunch of losers for the most part. In my 2 months there, I have 3 people in my network.
This doesn't really answer your question..I'm just sharing my POV.

I am with you on that point - I think it is actually pretty childish that people feel like they have to advertise themselves with their likes, dislikes, backgrounds, and music - My bf sister told me to go there and see her profile and I had no clue what it was until then, saw it and never went back - not a fan...
I think that people like to hide behind that image - the one that they like to portray.

OMG yes. I had like 530 something friends, I had to delete my account i was so obsessed, and am fighting the impulse to start another!
