Is the government going to far by telling us our children have to be immunized even before their sexually active?

Children (babies) are immunized for a lot of things that they will not necessarily be exposed to in their lifetime or as a result of their future lifestyle. I think that the HPV immunizations are meant to control something that can do a lot of harm to women in the future, i.e. cervical cancer. Imagine if this vaccine was not widely talked about and then later on down the road there is a spike in cervical cancer incidents, what would people say then?? If we wait to tell girls to get immunized until they are 18, the chances of vaccinating a majority of the population are remote. I do not believe that all young girls responsible enough to get their annual gyno check-up and let's face it many are already sexually active before out of high school. Statistics show that 1 out of every 4 college students have HPV now.

If this immunization had nothing to do with sex, we would be freakin' thrilled that they had found a vaccine for a very common type of cancer. I mean, a vaccine. For cancer. That is _huge_. This should be required for the same reason that polio shots were once required- this is an effective way to stop a deadly disease that costs the US a lot of money. Why wouldn't you want that shot?

Yes I think they should comin from someone who got diagnosed with Cervical Cancer at the age of 20 ( I just turned 25 2 days ago) Because I never bothered to get checked, so the sooner the better.

I think the immunization shouldn't be mandatory at all. It should be suggested when she gets active (buying birth control pills, for example). Sexual activity should be discouraged until you are old enough and stable enough to have children.

No their not going to far, you as a parent really can't control when your daughter will start being sexually active, and do you want her to develop cervical cancer when she's older? If that answer is no, might as well get her vaccinated. Of course, they aren't forcing your daughter to get them, just suggesting.

It works best before sexual activity, otherwise you could contract HPV before you get the vaccine. But it should not be forced. I don't see why anyone would want to risk cervical cancer and genital warts, though.

Parents can decline the vaccine. But why would you want to deny your daughters a vaccine for a virus that most women acquire during their lifetime which could give them cancer?

It relies upon on the lady. i'm in junior intense and that i actually do not decide for seems. i'm going to be trouble-free, seems are a component, yet its somewhat lots on the backside of the internet site. i decide for a humorousness and stable character extra desirable than the rest. yet lots of girls at my college will purely date men who're "nicely-known" or stable looking. i've got additionally observed that maximum relationships do not final in my junior intense. i might KILL just to have some mature men who can carry a dating at my college. i don't desire that for me considering I easily have a boyfriend (who would not bypass to my college) yet only understanding that there are men at my college that are like that would desire to be a convenience. I easily have been with my boyfriend for extra or less 4 months now and it is going super. yet particular, maximum women are rather ineffective and petty in junior intense. i might think of intense college females are lots extra mature, and that lots is clean in my intense college friends that are women human beings. they don't decide for seems they decide for character. particular, like i reported seems are a component, yet not a super one. And in regards to the glasses:it should not be a controversy with a woman who's nicely worth it sluggish. I easily have dated some men with glasses and that i presumed they have been attractive lol so it quite relies upon yet for the main section, no, the glasses won't remember.
