Rise Against is BY FAR the beat band in My opinion. They have touched on many subjects with their music including the very destruction of our Earth and it isn't a pathetic attempt by some losers trying to impress their church. In addition tho their lyrics their sound is MINDBLOWING.

if ur referring to the hard rock/ heavy metal genre it would be AC/DC although GNR, Def Leppard, Black Sabbath, Jimi Hendrix, Van Halen, Pink Floyd, the Rolling Stones, the Beatles, and the Who are definetly not far behind (sorry if i missed a band)

I think the best band is Blondie. They were a late 70s early 80s band who recorded songs from every genre. Their songs are beautifully written and the actual music is awesome. I love Blondie!
