It seems ironic that people support the killing of others through the death penalty, but they are against killing fetuses (shall we say semi-people). Contradiction or not?

Also, what about the anti-abortion people that bomb abortion clinics? Irony?

I believe in the sanctity of all innocent life. Innocent is the key word here. Unborn human beings have harmed no one, they are the epitome of innocence and deserve a chance at life. However, death row inmates are there for a reason. Usually because they have been convicted of the heinous crime called murder. Therefore, yes, I believe in the death penalty for these criminals.
As for the abortion clinic bombers, I believe they are also criminals and if convicted of murder, should face the death penalty as well. I am pro-life, but destroying private property and possibly killing someone is not the way to go.

yes it is a wonder isn't it..killing the unborn vs killing an abortion doctor is just plain killing.

You need to take an anatomy or biology or physiology class to learn that an unborn child is just a growing child. By the age of 3 months in the womb we are fully developed, just grow after that. Before 3 months, God is creating us....I know I am thrilled that I am alive today...some say it is a women's right to do with her body what she wants, but Christians believe that our body is a temple of God, and he abhors killing of any kind....but since Adam and Eve, we live in a very sinful world

in ND a federal jury just sentenced someone to death...I thought he should rot in jail, but sounds like at his mindset he was a very insitutionalized person, who didn't mind jail...I don't think I would have wanted to be on that jury.....

I think it is the idea that someone who gets the death penalty has done something to "deserve" it, whereas a fetus is the epitome of innocent and pure, with no choice and no fault whatsoever. According to that view, if someone does something to warrant the death penalty, that is their choice and they could have prevented it, whereas a fetus could not do anything to prevent their own destiny. I'm not saying I agree with this, but still.

Because an unborn child is innocent.
A murderer or rapist is the scum of the earth who should be punished for his atrocities.

well, the people on death row are people who have killed other people. the baby did nothing wrong and is getting killed. People who murder deserve to die. Babies who were made deserve to live. DUH!
