Rebound = immaturity

You only hurt as long as you allow yourself to.

Put the effort in making yourself a better person, growing into who you want to become, instead of investing your time worthlessly into a relationship that isn't going anywhere....besides, what if the person you rebound with you have sex with and catch something....you never know with people today, and with std's like HPV virus...
I'd play it safe, get a huge thing of ice cream and Kleenex, and all your favorite movies...spend one day dwelling, and then move on to the new and improved you.

Rebound is a nice distraction as long as the other person is not being misled. If sex is involved, protection should be top priority. I myself would try to find another way to distract myself rather than rebound, but nothing saying there's anything wrong with it, unless there is another current girlfriend or boyfriend in the background.

rebound sucks for the other person when they find out thats all they are. You might have your hurt but dont put more hurt apon someone else. Are you able to move on? are you over your ex enough to do this? What if you give yourself more time to be single and free b4 getting back into something serious. I guess theres nothing wrong with meeting new ppl but at least make it clear you arent ready for anything serious so they dont end up getting hurt.

Well if you really like this person I think it is ok for you to get him on a rebound.
