This guy has hacked my favorite online game's private forums. He replaced the website with a nasty message because he's mad at the GM's and players. Isn't that against the law? It's pretty obvious who it is, can't they call the police on him for it or something? What would you do if it happened to you?
Why do these types of people get so upset over games anyways?

Yes it is illegal and the owner of the forum should report him, either directly to police or report it to his web host. These guys are typically experienced in how to deal with hackers and forward the information to the right channels.
It has happened to me and my forums and I did report it. However, my hackers were operating from Spain and that's where the whole thing stopped.
I did resort to change the forum system from a popular one (phpbb2) with lots of security holes to a less popular one (SMF). So far I am hack-free but SMF popularity is rising and the more people are using it, the bigger a target these forums get for hackers...

People are seeking some form of control in their lives, and the normal routes open in the past to Americans have all turned to dust.
There is little choice in entertainment, sports, work, school, the marketplace or even personal relationships that isn't affected by a pervasive corruption of 'conventional wisdom' that provides lots of selection but no real distinctive options.
Hopefully, the owners of the website can cooperate with law enforcement to identify and apprehend the hackers of your favorite gaming website.
Meanwhile, why don't you take up knitting? It's more fun and better for you, plus you'll get something beautiful and useful out of it once in a while.

Yes it is illegal to hack into someones computer,just log in with a different name,maybe this person is angry because you are better than he is
