No, it would be like driving a Mercedes with a flat tire. Are you really impressing anyone? Just wait until you can get a similar or different quality watch that makes you look fancy.

All true. Know which part really sucks though? Most of the Idiots that make California into a cesspit moved there from Ohio, New York and other places because of how great the climate and geography is. And then they give folks like me, a native of Northern Cal, lifelong hunter, conservationist, shooter and outdoor nut a bad name. Heck....most people don't even understand that over half of all the produce in the nation is grown in California.... they just think we only grow fruits like Newell. And yeah..this California Expatriate has no issue admitting the place is screwed up. But I can hope that nice 9.9 earthquake can come along and detach most of the Southern California coastal region and it's liberal suck-egg detritus and drop it in the ocean. Might finally be able to stand it there then. (NorCal is still pretty awesome once you get away from all the liberal idjits)

YES!!!! absolutely if it looks nice and is a great watch then you should definitely wear it. And one of your questions was about the designer jeans, i did answer it, but this could be a designer watch. You know jeans that looked messed up and torn and a watch that's broken but still sexy lookin' on the wrist, just tell people that it is the new designer watch. Keep the watch and continue wearing it especially if it has so much value for you, or you can try and get it fixed, hope you can get it fixed. well good luck and keep wearin' that watch! : )

Um arent you gonna feel dumb when someone asks you the time... and you are wearing this fancy watch....but it doesn't work?
Well if you don't think you will feel dumb for people knowing you still wear a broken watch, then sure wear it.
But really if you like this watch so much then you should take it to as many jewlers as possible until you can find someone who can fix it for you! That's what I would do.

I'd wear it if I like it so well. I have 47 watches, so it may be a couple of months before I wear any twice. If you need to know the time, you can carry some running watch in your pocket or wear one on your other wrist like Nicholas Hayek CEO of Swatch. I've had nice watches quit, and I still wore them if I wished. As I said, I had a backup watch. Check the website for genasvintagewatches for repairs. A nice watch needs to be restored to running condition. What brand of watch is it? I wrote a book on "565 RECENT WATCH BRANDS", so I know many of them. Today, I'm wearing a $26,100 Piaget "Polo".

you'd be doing yourself a disservice. if someone asks you for the time, you'll look rather ridiculous and un-fancy.
take it to a repair shop if it means that much to you. it may be less expensive than you think.
i'd be interested in hearing this story! :)
