I have a mazda 6 '04 and i did a airbox modification by taking out some unneeded parts. I need to take it the dealer because of a check engine light. Im pretty sure its not cause of the modification but should I put everything back before I take it back to the dealer?

I would! Those "unneeded" parts were there for a reason. And since you're only "pretty sure" that it's not the cause you probably shouldn't be mucking about with it.
