Are you talking about the Admiral Gardner wreck? There are a lot more than eight left. In fact, there are probably more than eight for sale on eBay right now. I have included a link to one such eBay auction, so you can compare your coin to that one. This fellow has several for sale at $9.00 each.

If you are under the mistaken impression that you have a coin that there are only 8 such items reported, then your coin would make it the ninth such coin, if so, congratulations. However, in my 26 years as a coin dealer, I have found that 99% of all people who think they have struck it rich, have not read a proper pricing guide.
Go to the library (because it is free), ask to view a book called a KRAUSE, it is a catalog of every coin ever made. Do not use the Internet, as most of the stories you hear about super coins, are backed up by fake sites. IE, I build a site that states a coin is super rare, and then I start the rumor, and then I get you to buy the coin. We must remember that 97% of the Internet was designed by con artists, and 2.9% was built by people who have no idea of what they are talking about.
Not every Library has a 19th Century KRAUSE, so...should you be a member of the E-Bay community, I would suggest that you first scan both sides of your coin, at least 1,000 DPI images, and go to http://chatboards.ebay.com/chat.jsp?forum=1&thread=27 ask for one of the people in that chat room to aid you in certifacation of your coin.

Whatever someone is willing to pay for it, and no more. Hard to say if its really as limited as you say. You should contact an Auction House (like Christies or Sotheby's) and have them appraise and sell the coin for you, if you really want to find out.
