forest4ever - maybe i got him mixed up with another ****. i just thought it said in my history books when i was at school (in south africa) that he had a hand in apartheid. oh well, go smuts!!

South Africa house has a facae onto Trafalgar Square but most importantly when in 1990 Ken Livingston the then leader of the GLC wanted to erect a statue of Nelson Mandella, he was overulled by the Conservative members who had the full support of the now Lady Thatcher The Conservative government of th sixties also said that Nelson Mandella should have been executed as a terrorist. If you want to start a campaign to rid trafalgar square of this hideous eyesore to the father of Apartheid, I am 100% behind you!
