As long as you don't continue and that is all you did, most likely nothing will be wrong with the baby.

Most likely, your baby will be fine if you make a commitment to stop throughout the rest of the pregnancy. If it was within the first 5-6 weeks of pregnancy, you should have no worries at all since the nutrients/toxins/etc that you put into your body are not shared with the baby until after this time.

Back in those days.....when i was pregnant with my son i smoked til i was about 10 wks. He is absolutely perfect. There is side-effects to it but, most doctors will say as long as you wuit a month before delivery the baby will not have any withdraws....technically would have already gone through withdraws in utero. But, i know my cousins' baby her head formed in an odd shape...and her son has an indention in his butt cheek. Other than that They are totally fine.

smoking just increases the chances of birth defects, the more you smoke the more the risk, but of course theres still a possibility you can smoke throughout the entire pregnancy and everything will be fine with your child, of course its almost impossible
