I always thought it just meant a famous person appearing as themselves - like, Johnny Carson dropping in at a dinner party on some other show or sitcom or something. BUT - the online dictionary says something else. It merely says a short appearance by a famous actor in ANY role, not necessarily themselves. But the whole point is that they were there as themselves, I always thought. Lotta help, huh.

Neither. A cameo is a brief appearance. Usually it is specifically a walk on part with little or more often no speaking role. Hitchcock was famous for his cameos where he would be in a crowd scene and walk by. In psycho, I believe he crosses the street in front of a car. The name cameo comes from the jewelery cameo which traditionally are made from carved shells and often show a relief in partial profile. Hence a cameo is a walk on in profile.

None of the above. A cameo is a short appearance in a film. The star has a very brief part and is compensated for their performance.

Anarchy. that's what we prefer, Anarchy. If it rather is accessible interior the form of the BNP, so be it. the main considerable events tow the line and pay lip provider to their skills and inabilities to be in capacity. genuine subject concerns affecting us are dodged for worry of frightening 'somebody', whoever which would be. not something rather gets achieved and that i'd desire to admit that tangibly, issues seem getting worse, yet we've headlines in nationwide newspapers asserting that a million/2 the country are in solid or extra acceptable jobs. yet the place is the peace, the progression of straightforward human beings, the openness of a rustic that fought 2 international wars to get the place we are right this moment? i don't prefer to rant on approximately terrorism and Muslims and racial hatred and paranoia and George W Bush and how being an alie to the united states of a has uncovered us to attrocities. it is the easy answer to this question. according to probability the genuine answer is that the British human beings of all faiths will come collectively to remedy this difficulty themselves sooner or later, as our flesh pressers and religious leaders seem bereft of solutions.........................

They get paid an extortionate amount of money for playing themselves for no more than about 10 minutes.

In addition to the girl above, they could be playing themselves, or a character. Either works.
