Many avid thinkers believe that most human beings are a nuisance, and are harmful to the earth's environment. Particularly the overly-consumptive Americans. Is there a strategy now planned to wipe out many of us using biological or other means of terror to reduce the population, in the near future? If not,why not? Why would the geeks who play God with technology spare us?

This is what happens to all Collosuses sooner or later. They begin tottering .Not that there are any Anti-Collosuses are out or even budding. But with a long spell of unchallenged predominance gives rise to self-doubt and suspicion of even the lowly worms that they are growng large for their tiny boots and must be put down. This is what is happening to the USA. With the fall of the Soviet Union a feeling of 'I am the monarch of all I survey. There's none my rights to dispute' was generated and held sway for some time. But as they say those whom God wishes to destroy he makes them mad first. This is what is coming over America and from the question and from the bravado of one responder it seems the feeling is perlocating to the common man.America's attack on Iraq and the raising the bogey of international terrorism are the symtoms of this imbalance. The affliction is not entirel Bush-generated. Earlier in Eisenhower's time the infection has affected as could be seen from the secret documents published by somebody who was with the Establishment.Well, these bugbeas are nothing but the creations of its nervous mind. As the third responder has hoped this may go away with Bush Othersise Osama Bin Laden will continue to sit ,like the Old Man of the sea on a Sindbad Aemerica. The earlier it throws him down the more freely it (and also the world)can breathe.

Answer-they wouldn't spare us. Al Gore said once that "all earth's problems could be solved if 1/3 of the Earth's population was eliminated."

These elitist hypocrites never get in line to be next, though.

Secularist have no love for you. Euthanasia has been used by them before in the 20`s and 30`s. Hitler used it to get rid of 75,000 mentally ill and elderly under the excuse that euthanasia was better for them but had to stop because of church outcry. He started getting rid of the Priests, Nuns, and orphans later.

We will have a burden, in their eyes, with all the elderly as the baby boomers retire. I can see a time if they get power of euthanasia being employed again to alleviate that problem. Its an old standby.

Why not? Well for starters we wont let them. The US is strongest nation on the planet. What other nation could implement such a plan against us. And what non-government aligned group has the resources to implement such a plan.

The US is only the strongest nation until a few nations decide to gang up on us. But I think once Bush leaves office, issues will lighten up some. And I am a republican. :-)
