Anyone who shops at Hot Topic has no idea what they are doing to begin with. Thats the best explanation I can give. In fact most people seem to think its actually a young picture of Castro!

I would think that most people who wear the Che Guevara shirt:

a. Have no idea who he actually is
b. Have no idea of the things he did in the name of the "Revolution"
c. Haven't heard of him anywhere but a college campus in 30 years

Castro is in the news constantly and can more easily be tied to the human rights violations of Cuba than Guevara can.

Che fought for a cause with little concern for personal gain after the Cuban revolution and died fighting for what he believed in. While Mr Castro established a regime equally corrupt and oppressive as the one he replaced.

The only reason people (in general) wear those t-shirts baring the image of Che is because it "looks cool" and "everybody's doin' it." That is the one and only reason natural-born Americans wear that shirt. And you'll find that it's really only guys in their late teens and early 20's who are wearing them. If if bothers you so much, go out and try educating people about it, instead of complaining about it here.

Most of the people who wear Che on there shirts have no idea who he was or what he stood for. they are all followers and don't have a collective brain amongst them.
