Yes i think so. Im sure there are horse therapy centres which involve the horses swimming in huge tanks to heal injuries to their legs. Also - take a look at some old country and western films - those horses striding through the canyons - often take a dip in a swirling river to get away from the bad-guys!

Yes. Nearly all animals can swim. Sometimes, if they have never been in the water before, they may be afraid; but they are easily trained to get over their initial fear. They do not have to be taught to swim, they know how already. Normal excercise for a horse would be to swim 500 to 1500 yards.

Yes, Horses CAN swim. BUt be careful if you are going to try it!
They have a pony round up every year in Virgina,and they make all of the horses swim across the channel.

Yes horses can swim we have a big swim here every year that allows us to seperate the wild natual horses from the ponies.
The ponies are then sold at auction.
It happens ever year in chincoteague. Its an island between Maryland and VA
