there are over 6000 islands in and around the british isles, these include;
Northern Isles (including Orkney, Shetland and Fair Isle)
Hebrides (including the Inner Hebrides, Outer Hebrides and Small Isles)
Islands of the lower Firth of Clyde (including the Isle of Arran and Bute)
Anglesey (in Welsh Ynys Môn)
Farne Islands
Isles of Scilly
Isle of Wight
Portsmouth Islands (including Portsea Island and Hayling Island)
Islands of Furness
Isle of Portland

loads! remember the British isles is a geographical not a political construct so Ireland is within the British isles, Isle of wight, Angelsey Aran, Shetlands Hebrides etc
