Umm, I dont know why you posted this in pregnancy (perhaps you're worried you are?) And I don't know how old you are.
What do you mean you shouldn't have your period for 6 months? You mean you've never had a period before or you haven't had one for 6 months?
If you've never had one before, then there is not a set time to start. Some start at 8, some into their 20s. It also does not have to be red for it to be a period. When you first start having periods, they are occasionally very light. They are usually very light at the very start an end. If it continues, and its worrying you a lot, get yourself down to the doctors, though it usually is nothing to worry about.

You've started your period. Just cause your mom started 6 months later doesn't mean that you would as well. Everyone's different. The brown is just a little old blood. My first peiod was not very red. You could just be spotting, but nonetheless I wouldn't worry about it. BTW- don't worry about the boy's (and that is what they are) answers. They make fun of what they don't understand. Good luck to you!

Why cant you have your period for 6 months? maybe its just blood left up in there that is older that would make it brown. If you've had rough sex the night before itll make it bleed a little bit...Just because you havent had cramps doesnt mean your not on your period. I've never had cramps when ive been on my period. Its just different for everyone goodluck to you

Don't worry, tell your mom and doctor. Have it checked out. It may be a beginning sign. Maybe you will be starting soon. Wish I knew. Sorry. TELL YOUR MOM!
Well, now that I've read some questions and the pregnacy part, I wonder about your age. Are considered you 13 before, but now I am wondering. Include your age with these kinds of things.
Nevermind about my answer.

Your period is just starting. It hasn't gotten to the stage for it to be red as yet. In the next couple of days it should be coming out like a real period.

Periods aren't always red. They can vary from pink to dark brown. Just like dried blood.
White discharge could indicate a yeast infection or a bacterial infection. The best thing to do would be go to a gyno and get checked out.
So are you pregnant? I'm a bit unclear on that one.

Why shouldn't you have your period for 6 months? Are you on a certain B.C.?
Okay, now I understand what you mean, thank you for the clarification. Your cycle is not going to be the same as your mother's. Girls are starting earlier then they did in your mothers generation. As long as you are not sexually active (and I hope you are not, you are WAY too young for that) you are having your period. If you are sexually active then you need to go to the doctor, you could have an STD. Please speak to your mother about what is going on, she can let you know what to do and give you directions for using tampons and pads. Good Luck.

Your period will not be the same as your mothers. My mom has a period once every two months... I (before getting pregnant) had my period once every month... sometimes TWICE a month... after taking BC pills (and getting off of them), it was once every month and a half. Periods are very unpredictable things. They vary from every woman.

Don't panic! what you are seeing is not blood true but like a thin lining of you uterus that has worn away and been replace by new tissue. this normal happens with your cycle but most of the time we don't notice it do to all the other blood. I would not worry about it due to that if it is coming out like a dark brownish color then it is old and your body is just naturally flushing it out but if it is bright red then that is a sign of fresh blood and I would contact me OBGYN asap.
