I am not really good at the answer thing .. you can send an email and maybe I might get it. and I can perhaps give you a plan. I don't want to do it for you.
You certainly have not learned "everything" .. I certainly haven't. but not for lack of trying. (well .. I have been slacking off the last few years)
Yes, projects happen for finals - and they are usually geared for the level of the class. a 1st year graduate student project is easier than a first year college student and that is probably easier than a jr high project.
I like(d) graphical things
A high school project that my sister turned down was a little bird animation. She was great at drawing and had traced in the pells of a nice little bird. we put that into an array. I then had her draw the wing in one or two other postions. I then showed how using a loop one could cycle the wings up and down. and then by catching the arrow keys, you could then modify every point on the bird .. up down right left (and you could add angles too) and you could have the bird fly around like the then popular game joust.
A college project I liked-- and this was difficult... was we had been studying graphics commands for a semester. I had just finished a book on line fractles. so I had a line .. and then I had the user put in a shape. I then would fractically iterate the shape into the line. step one, put shape on the line. get lots of line segments.. step two .. adjust shape to match all the line segments and scale down to the size and insert. step three .. repeat until out of ram.
I got lots of milage out of drawing polar graphs from math class on the computer. one has to convert from polar coordinates to cartesian, but that isn't hard.
There are some great logo programs in a book called the great logo adventure. one could convert those to dr scheme or basic.
we have no idea of the level of your class nor the language nor the complexity of the program.
Off and on I wanted to make a recepie food analyser .. pull down the database of cals and nutruents .. then you could take a database of recepies and you could look up diet values. also if you had a database of food in the kitchen you coudl search on what dishes could be made. etc.
You could set Linux up as a router or a bridge. extra points for running snmpd and running mrtg against it to make cute usage graphics. (also see ipcop)
You coudl set linux up as a phone system .. see prixbox.
You could set moodle and have a fake course on computing (see moodle.org)
a final project I had once that floated my boat was to implement the algorithm for a simple natural language processor that was in terry winnograd's book. I did it in C languge, but now I would tryied to do it in Swi-Prolog as the prof suggested.
you could work through some of the ai work in the book on clips. a rule based program. or some other rule based program. .. see awk for an example.
You could go war driving and look for wireless access points and graph them on a map of the city.
You could set up a dating CMS for your highschool .. free for the first year .. more later. say spin up apache, do some php forms, hook to mysql database
perhaps there is some database project...
a friend's son wanted to put skateboarding pics out there and have searchable database of pics and mp3 videos.
You could say pull down a voter database, clean it, stick into a database system like postgresql or mysql .. and then do some sort of report on it. .. jasper reports, crystal reports, business objects .. or just perhaps hand tooled perl or php.
my buddy wanted a cybernetic chicken smoker .. hook a sensor up and a small moter .. read the temp, move the vent in and out. sensor and motor are a little expensive, but not too bad.
Lego had some neet programming robots, perhaps you could spin one up and get it to work and that might count.
good hunting!
blessings.

What's th project? What do you have to do? We can't help if we don't know. Just the honest truth of it all. If I could read minds I would, but then this wouldn't be reality now would it?

Their computer abilities are irrellevant. Don't be afraid to ask for help. Talk to your teacher about your project. They should be able to help.
